PHL EMBASSY SUPPORTS FILIPINO ARTISTS FEATURED IN PHL ART MONTH IN ABU DHABI

11 July 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi led by Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Grace Relucio Princesa supported the featured Filipino artists in the “Philippine Art Month” Exhibition of Abu Dhabi Art Hub by gracing the exhibition opening last June 24.

In line with the celebration of the 116th Anniversary of the proclamation of the Philippine Independence, the owner of Abu Dhabi Art Hub, Mr. Ahmed Al Yafei saw it fit to have Filipino artists for its residency program in June and have their works in an exhibition dubbed as “Philippine Art Month.”

In her remarks, Ambassador Princesa said, “Culture transcends boundaries; It connects hearts and souls. The presence of Filipino artists here in Abu Dhabi is a reminder that we are not just world-class service providers but also world-class artists.”

The Abu Dhabi Art Hub is the first artist community established in the UAE. With the mantra live-create-exhibit, it aims to showcase works of emerging and established visual artists from across the world. It also serves as a platform for interaction and cross-cultural artistic exchanges between national, regional and international artists.

Every month, the Abu Dhabi Art Hub celebrates Art by Country Artist through its residency program where it invites artists from across the world.
