Panda Sports Enthusiast opens Inter-Villa League In Riyadh

RIYADH: Aiming to convene Panda employees thru sports activities aside from camaraderie and acquaintance among others, the recently concluded Panda Inter-Villa League 2014 spearheaded by Panda Sports Enthusiast thru the able leadership of Carlito Costorio, Jr. held on November 14 was indeed a success.

Joined by 7 teams – KSA Operation Dry Team, Gilas Team, Panda 133-Inventory Team, Hyper North Team, Rimal Team, Al Shifa Team and Transport Blazers Team convened at Panda Recreational Center alongside a huge crowd who witnessed the grandest opening, by far.

Mr. Thevarjah Tharmarajah, Panda DC Manager, motivated the players as well as the employees to be sports-minded and use their free time in doing sports activities to be physically fit, during his speech as the Guest of Honor Speaker.

Considered as one of the highlights of the opening ceremony, KSA Operation Dry Team won the Best in Uniform while Al Shifa Team was adjudged Most Disciplined Team. Selection judge was headed by Lester Sandoval.

In addition to the basketball tournament, a 2-day volleyball league was also conducted which was participated by 7 teams – KVC D’Originals, Nepali Bulldogs, Riyadh Smashers, Q Olayan Panthers, SAMARITAN, Jondee’s Selection, Aziziah Spikers and Panda DC.


Panda Sport Enthusiasts was headed by Carlito Costorio, Jr. (League Commissioner) and Morsid Mohammed (Chairman) duly supported by Marlon Millanes, Devis Guiyab, Ariel Sordella, Charles Jhon Meroy, Bell John Condrado, Alberto Doroy, Jerson De Gracia, Jay Alyanza, Michael Gibaga, Lukesin Yusseff Balansag and Ranilo Cabanag.  (Marlon B.
