PCCF, AFCM and OLA hold Christmas Party

TORONTO, Ontario, Canada - The Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) together with the Archdiocesan Filipino Catholic Mission (AFCM) and the Our Lady of Assumption (OLA) Catholic Church, had a Christmas Party attended by 350 volunteers and supporters, on Saturday, December 13^th, 2014, at the OLA Hall at 2565 Bathurst Street in Toronto.

Those in attendance enjoyed the food, games, gifts, raffle prizes, and the entertainment numbers. Food donations during the event filled six boxes which will be shipped to the Tacloban Orphanage and funds totaling to $7,612.30 was raised for the OLA Adoration Chapel.

PCCF is now gearing up for the Pinoy Fiesta and Trade Show sa Toronto which is scheduled for June 27^th, 2015, at the Metro-Toronto Convention Centre.

Those interested, are invited to register as candidates for the PCCF Pageants (Miss Philippines Canada 2015, Miss Teen Philippines Canada 2015, Little Miss Canada 2015 and Mrs Philippines Canada 2015) or as Trade Show Vendors.

Prince of Peace Parish, Scarborough, Ontario Children's Christmas Party

The children present enjoyed the magic show, the gifts, the refreshments served by the Knights and their ladies and the much awaited visit of Santa Claus. Led by Lady Patricia Martyn, the parishioners served arroz caldo, hotdogs, chips and drinks.

Knights of Columbus Honour Guard for Our Lady of  Guadalupe at Prince of Peace Church

The Knights of Columbus Charles P. Greco Assembly 2113 provided Honour Guards for the Mass and Novena at Prince of Peace Church in Scarborough.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Pastor Rev. Regulo Imperial.  Sponsor for this annual Novena for Our  Lady of Guadalupe is Lyna Perez. The several hundred devotees who attended was serve a sumptuous dinner by the Sponsor and friends after the novena.

Rev. Fr. Joe Fenech Funeral Mass at St. Aidan Catholic Church, Scarborough

His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins celebrated the funeral mass for Fr. Joe Fenech, the former Pastor of St. Aidan Catholic Church in Scarborough. His Excellenccies Rev. Boisinneau and Rev. Vincent Nguyen and Rev. Pastor Joseph Sultana concelebrated in the Mass, together with several dozen priests. Deacons Johnson and Patrick Chang assisted in the Mass.

Rev. Fr. Joe Fenech is the Founder of St. Aidan Church and has served as its Pastor for several decades.  He was much loved by his parishioners. Fr. Fenech's colleagues in the Knights of Malta,  Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, Knights of Columbus and Knights of Rizal paid respect to Fr. Joe during the Funeral Mass, together with his large extended family (Brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand  nieces)and several hundred parishioners.

Carmel Scarborough Community Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Marriage Course Conductors Ministry Planning

The Prince of Peace Parish Marriage Course Conductors recently had a working meeting  to plan the series of classes for the year 2015. The ministry, which has been in existence at the Parish for 15 years, prepares and guides the couples who plan to get married. Subjects discussed, include: Readiness and Maturity, Communication, Sexuality, Natural Family Planning, Parenting, Stewardship, Spirituality and Romance After.

The couples, regardless of religious orientation are briefed on the subjects through presentations, plays, and groups & team discussions. The Course Conductors are all married for over forty years.
