ONTARIO FILIPINO CANADIANS GIVE JULIUS TIANGSON UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT

From FilipinoUpNorth.Com

Filipino Canadians in Ontario, Canada are crossing political party lines to support Conservative Party MP Candidate for Mississauga Centre Julius Tiangson.

In a recent dinner fund raising event organized by Fred Gamboa and Joe Zagala, both past Presidents of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association-Toronto (UPAAT), Filipino Canadians who are known Liberal and NDP members/supporters dined and handed campaign donation checks to Julius Tiangson as witnessed by his wife Bunny and the Conservative Party Riding President of Mississauga Centre, Gil Bacus.

Diego Linan, a long time Liberal Party supporter since the time of Prime Minister John Chrétien said that his support for Tiangson does not mean that he is being a turncoat. He further said that his is a protest for what the people of Justin Trudeau did to the Filipino Canadian communities of Scarborough Centre and Scarborough Southwest. For the Liberal Party leadership to go against the very personal pronouncement and commitment of Justin Trudeau for a free, fair and open nomination process left a bad taste in the mouth of many Filipino Canadian Liberals and for this reason, Linan said, they were supporting Julius Tiangson to show all and sundry that Justin Trudeau and his minions made a mistake in underestimating the Filipino Canadian community vote.

We are still supporting Liberal Candidates like Hedy Fry in Vancouver and Marco Mendicino in Eglinton-Lawrence, Toronto, Linan added. However, Filipino Canadians are all out supporting Julius Tiangson with time, money and effort, in complete disregard of political party affiliations.

If a political falsehood recently released by some Filipino Canadian community renegades created a minute of uncertainty in some Filipino Canadian quarters, the truth is many Filipino Canadian Liberals still continue to donate money, time and efforts to the campaign of Julius Tiangson, the Filipino Canadian Conservative, in Mississauga Centre.

AND HERE IS THE CLINCHER...victory of Tiangson will be delivered NOT BY THE FILIPINO CANADIANS ALONE but by the community support coming from all the different ethnic groups who are organizing fund raising events, volunteering to join door-to-door knocking to solicit votes and openly campaign to ensure Tiangson’s victory.
