The Miss Caregiver Pageant is unique in the sense that it is run by volunteers and caregivers, and it is not about beauty and wits but it is about creativity and empowerment of caregivers to become the best leaders and advocates in our Filipino community as well as to make a difference in our beloved country the Philippines.
This year proceeds will be used to build a school stage and our beneficiary are the students of Tomas Confessor Memorial Elementary School in Tabucan Pamul-ogan, Cabatuan, IloIlo City, Philippines.

Prominent Judges have a difficult time as all candidates were amazingly talented and unique. Judges were given a chance to speak and ask questions to the 10 candidates as a warm up during the meet and greet portion of the event.

Everyone was a winner, All  the 10 candidates have won an award, but it was  a very close competition between Candidate No.7, Maria Liezel Malicay of Etobicoke and Candidate No.10 Liza Ombao of Niagara Falls for the Crown.

The Top 5 winners last night  were the following: Maria Liezel Malicay  Candidate #7, won the Miss Caregiver Pageant 2016,and took  home 3 more  awards Best in Talents, Best in Casual and  Best in Sports Wear, Liza Ombao , Candidate #10, won the 1st runner up and Best in Creative Gown, 2nd runner up Miss Charlene Franco, 3rd runner up Miss Jujelyn Brown, and 4th runner up was Miss Cora Rabina. The rest of the candidates were Ebangelin Naul, candidate#1; Cherry Cepeda, candidate #2; Minerva Cala, candidate #3, Karen Fermill and Cristina Santos, candidates #6 and #9, respectively.10 candidates made a definitive change in personality. They have  over 5 months  training and transform them in so many aspects of their personality and character.

It was such a fun and an enjoyable night. With the two superb host Mr. Ryan Orlanda and Merecyl Cauton.

Indeed, it was worth my time and hard work for those who participated and have come to support and witness the winner of the Miss Caregiver Pageant team organizers lead by Miss Margie Bayanay, Winna Garrido, Rhea Suarez, Merecyl Cauton, Regina Avenido under the supervision of the immediate past chairman, Christine Salubre.Congratulations to Miss Judith Gonzales the founder and mentor  of Fil-Core Support Group.

Our great appreciation to  community leaders, supporters, caregivers, and sponsors who made this event quite a SUCCESS!
