FAEC Dammam wins 2017 All-Stars War Game in Riyadh

RIYADH: The 2017 All-Stars War Game spearheaded by White Camel Youth Basketball Club-WCYBC was tremendously successful held in time of the eid holidays at Prince Sultan Military Hospital-RKH Skydome, here.

Participating teams composed of former players of PBA, PBL, UAAP, NCAA – tagged as commercial basketball players (players working abroad) include Qassim All-Stars, FAEC Dammam All-Stars, KSA All-Stars and White Camel Riyadh All-Stars, coming from four regions in the Kingdom.

During the championship game played between FAEC Dammam All-Star and White Camel Riyadh All-Stars, the crowd estimated to be more or less 800 was all energetic and wild cheering for their respective teams. In the end, FAEC Dammam was triumphant in securing the championship trophy with a final score of 82 against 66.

Summing-up the winners of this year’s All-Stars War Game are White Camel Riyadh All-Stars-first runner-up, Qassim All-Stars-second runner-up and KSA All-Stars-third runner-up.

On the other hand, individual recognitions were given to Jayson Dandoy-best guard, Roel Asay-best forward, Benner Salamat-best center, Marko Boras-best point guard and Norman Gonzales- best power forward and most valuable player.

Some of the key people who graced the event are Hon. Iric Arribas (Guest Speaker representing the Philippine Embassy Riyadh), Saidy Malic, Arnold Dela Cruz, Ed Borbon and Ameen Etanislao.

The 2017 All-Stars War Game was organized by White Camel Youth Basketball Club-WCYBC:  Victor Yabut-commissioner, Roel Asay-WCYB president, Edward, James, Francis, Jimmy Cuadro-managers FAEC Dammam All-star. Additionally, it was sponsored by Yellow Cab Pizza Co., Burger king, Fahd Alireza-engineering consultants FAEC, Lulu hyper market, Al Babtain Contracting Company, Cusina restaurant, Sherbetes ice cream, Soulmate Belle, Jollibee, Touch of White Salon, Flash cargo and SABC.
