FACAES fulfills commitment to support the House of Refuge during 8 Feb. 2018 Visit

As promised during the successful conclusion of FACAES First Filipino Fiesta in Randwick on 5  November 2017 and during the Coronation Night of the Mutya ng Sydney Beauty Pageant held at Merrylands RSL Club on 18 November 2017, Filipino Australian Community Association, Eastern Sydney (FACAES) President Precy Santos and Vice President Mr. Roque Molavin along with Miss Charity Queen 2017 Mutya ng Sydney Henna Perez visited the House of Refuge in Quezon City


The aim of the scheduled visit made on 08 Feb. 2018 is to personally hand over the A$1,000  (equivalent of 40,500 plus pesos) representing the proceeds of the successful FACAES Charity Event.  Precy personally handed the cash money to Ms. Glady Bunao, Director of the House of Refuge Foundation who was grateful and elated to receive the donation money  during an informal welcome and handover ceremony.  Posing with the children and their mentors at the House of Refuge at 3rd row standing   L-R Roque, Precy and Henna. 



In addition, Precy  announced that this year (2018), FACAES will be again holding their 2nd Filipino Fiesta in Randwick and simultaneously include the Miss Charity Queen 2018 in the fund raising event again.  Apart from organizing the 2nd Filipino Fiesta in Randwick, FACAES is  hoping to raise money for the 2nd consecutive year to continue its support to the House of Refuge particularly to the children who are staying under the care of House of Refuge administrators.  Although there was no final date of the Fiesta yet, Precy promised to inform Ms. Glady Bunao once the date is confirmed.



Ms. Glady’s Bunao speaking on behalf of House of Refuge Foundation, personally thanked and appreciated FACAES officers Precy and Rox including Miss Charity Queen for 2017 Henna Perez for taking time to visit them to personally hand over the cash donation.  



Ms Bunao admitted it was a big help for them particularly augmenting and sustaining the daily needs of the children who permanently live at the House of Refuge under their utmost care and protection.  Before Precy, Henna and Roque left the place, they promised Ms. Bunao that that they would be back again to continue bringing joy and smiles to the children of the House of Refuge.
