‘Sniper’ -  ‘Magnum’ in town

Sydney: TWO visiting Filipino fighters arrived in Sydney this week for two separate bouts on separate days but at the same venue, The Star Sydney in Darling Harbour .

Froilan ‘Sniper’ Saludar , takes on Australia’s Andrew Maloney over a scheduled 12 rounds  for the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) vacant oriental super-flyweight title on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

Saludar, 32, standing 5ft 5in boasts a fight record of 32 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw; He comes from Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao. Moloney 21, 2, 0.

The following night on Wednesday, Richie ‘Magnum’ Mepranum fights Australian Sam Goodman over 12 rounds for the WBO oriental super-bantamweight title.

Mepranum, 34, standing at 5ft 5in has a record of 36, 8, 0; Goodman 9. 0. 0. He is from Sarangani, in Mindanao.

The fighters come with cornerman-trainer Marquil Salvañia
